Alpacas and Bunnies are coming!

Our first week is just around the corner. In case you missed it, the market has moved to Sundays 11am to 3pm!

Every week, in conjunction with PAWS animal shelter, we will have an “Animal Encounter”.  Families can interact with live farm animals, different animals each week!  The first week (May 31st) will feature Alpacas.

In addition, the West Linn Library will be doing a “Story Time” 11am to 1pm.  Their stories May 31st will be about bunnies.  They will also have some live bunnies for kids to play with.

With our change of day, we have been able to secure more farmers than ever. This includes flowers, berries, produce, eggs, cheese, and more!  Please be sure to buy from our vendors. Our vendors support the other events of the market including the live music.  By shopping with our vendors, we can continue to bring a fun, family friendly event in your neighborhood.

Hope to see you next Sunday!

My husband & I play music professionally, mostly at retirement communities because its very rewarding. We have played music at the Saturday Market in Seaside, & we know how to be not just good music but entertaining too! Our website is designed for Activity Directors for retirement communities, but we are very lively and fun to watch & always family friendly. We do a large variety of music shows and can provide music for all types of crowds. We are new to the area–we live in Oregon City, and would love to get more involved in our community, including West Linn! We perform at approximately 60 different places in the area, and we can give you as many great references.

Please give me a call and lets talk!
    Thank you.

Dear Farmer’s Market Manager, I am the Secretary for the Willamette Neighborhood Association and we had a meeting this week with Shannen Knight and heard all about the new Farmer’s Market. We are excited for it. I thought I would copy comments for you as you prepare this year’s market. Best wishes…see you soon.

Farmers Market – Shannen Knight reviewed this year’s features of the market
    New Manager
    55 Vendors.
Mostly fruit/vegetables, encouraging locally grown farms.
    New Website: westlinnfarmersmarket.org
Vendors park in Les Schwab parking lot.

    Recommendations from the WNA:
-Market should more about fresh fruits and veggies, less about fast food and loud music.
-Improve presentation of market, layout, remove food court and playground-children area.
-Stricter regulation on vendor parking, keep them out of the historic district.
-Improve access to market with parking plan, discourage parking in the neighborhood by advertising where parking available-signage.
-Payment Options other than cash. Have the phone swipe credit card options.

Please do not hesitate to contact me with questions.
    Sincerely, Beth
